Trudi has spent a good deal of her life in education, both educating and being educated. Having taught for 10 years in Government and Independent schools in Melbourne and then furthering her own studies in the visual arts with an Honours degree in Visual Arts, followed by a Master of Arts degree (Research) at the University of Ballarat (now Federation University). For 16 years she worked as a Sales Executive and Art Educator for an art supply company before starting and co-running her own art supply company in the western suburbs of Melbourne. Her current body of work revolves around detailed paintings of objects reminiscent of times past, hung from a string in the style of the Spanish Bodegon Painters. These works are created as a form of historical gathering and aim to evoke memories and reconnect us to the past.
